We came, we saw, we knit...and we've got a SHOCKING revelation...
Did you knit in public on Saturday? We sure did!
We had such a great time with all the folks who stopped by to knit and chat with us during our World Wide Knit in Public Day celebration.
It's such a nice reminder to connect with other knitters (and it's a thrill to show off your FOs and WIPs with people who "get it!" Isn't it? Sometimes when we knit in just our own homes, with just our own family around, we miss out on the fun of stitching along with the clicking needles of the person next to us.
About that, actually...well, we've got a bit of a secret.
It may seem like a pretty shocking revelation, but we just had to tell you. Friends shouldn't keep secrets this BIG.
Are you sitting down?
You don't need a DAY to knit in public, and you certainly don't need a DAY to come knit here at Serendipity. Our big table is open to you EVERY DAY.
(It's okay if you need to take a moment here to let that sink in.)
We are in LOVE with the holiday - and we think knitting in public deserves one - but don't wait until next year to do it again!
We've created a sit-and-knit kind of space here, and we can't tell you how many times someone will set up camp at our table with a project and some tea only to find other knitters drawn to join with their own projects and their own tea.
Conversation, encouragement, camaraderie, and the company of people creating just like you are can be balm for the soul, whether you think you need it right then or not. It can also be just plain FUN, and we're always up for more of that.
We'll have the teapot ready!
