knit along holiday@2x

We’re continuing our holiday Knit-Along frenzy with another project idea this week, and it’s one many of us have been meaning to get to: Christmas stockings! Whether you make them for your own family or if they’re to be gifted to very lucky recipients, these easy-to-knit stockings are fun and there are so many ways to customize them!

stocking pic for blogWe’re using Lamb’s Pride Yarn from The Brown Sheep Company for this project. The fiber blend of this lovely yarn is eighty-five percent wool and fifteen percent mohair, with the mohair giving the yarn a beautiful halo once knitted, and the stitch definition is incomparable.

You will use one skein of each color to make each size stocking, so from left to right, the Medium Stocking would take 2 skeins, the Jolly Big Stocking would take 3 skeins, and the Wee Stocking would take 2 skeins. At $10.50 per skein, those are some very affordable and incredibly adorable stockings! The pattern includes other options, as well.

We’ll be adding this project to our Wednesday Knit-Along, from 10:30-12p. You’re welcome to bring this or any other Serendipity project you’re working on, and we hope to see you there!
