Holiday Projects: The Beaded Mohair Scarf
Tiny glass beads sit like raindrops on the gossamer web of this simple garter-stitch scarf. Lacy loops at the edges are created as you go with a yarn-over at the beginning of each row. Even if you’ve never thought of yourself as a ‘bead’ person, consider including them in this scarf. The beading pattern is as understated as it gets, and with their tiny bit of extra weight, the beads make this light-as-a-feather scarf a bit easier to wear.
We recommend using the gorgeous Kidsilk Haze Stripe yarn for this beaded mohair scarf, and we can help you pick the perfect colorway when you stop by the shop. Of course, we have you completely covered as we also carry the beads you’ll need for that tiny extra “wow factor.”
Don’t forget that you can bring this or any other Serendipity project you’re working on to our Wednesday Knit-Along, every Wednesday from 10 – 12p. I hope to see you there!
